Empowering Voters & Defending Democracy

Join the Rotary Club of Florence, serving all of Boone County (@FlorenceRotary), on Monday, October 21, 2024, at noon to hear Karen Brown & Julie Kugler-Ackley, of League of Women Voters of Northern Kentucky, discussing the League’s work to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens in government. They will also explain the actions the League takes on government measures and policies in the public interest in conformity with the principles of the League of Women Voters of the US, while not supporting or opposing any political party or candidate.
Julie Kugler-Ackley is a resident of Crescent Springs and is a longtime educator. She is an active member of the League of Women Voters of Northern KY and serves as Communications Co-chair for the League of Women Voters of KY.
Karen Brown is a resident of Union and a retired healthcare professional. She serves as Coordinator of League of Women Voters of Northern KY and Membership Chair for the League of Women Voters of KY.
The League of Women Voters of Northern Kentucky is a political grassroots network and membership organization that believes the freedom to vote is a nonpartisan issue. For more than a century, they’ve worked to empower voters and defend democracy. As a women-led organization, they encourage everyone to take part in our democracy.
